Jerry and a canary save one another from Tom’s attack, and take refuge in a birdhouse. Tom’s attempt to catch Jerry result in him crashing into a house and coming out the other side, stuck in a girdle or corset. The corset makes a great (if not entirely sophisticated) pair of wings, giving Tom the advantage in being able to fly after Jerry and the bird.
However, the bird leads Tom into a train tunnel, where Tom is hit by a train and finds himself suspended from a trestle as Jerry and the canary wave goodbye and shake hands from a passing observation car.
