Jerry rescues a drowning puppy and allows it into his home. However, Tom objects to this and forcibly removes the puppy (and Jerry) from the premises before getting a guilty conscience. When Tom ventures out in a storm to find Jerry and the puppy, he gets caught up in the storm and almost ends up drowning himself. It’s up to Jerry and his new-found canine friend to save Tom.
